Rain drops are fallin' on my head

Dear Family,

Well hello its me again!! The reason I put that in the subject heading is because it is raining pretty good here in Halifax and it doesn't show signs of stopping any time soon. But how are all of you doing? Mom I love the pictures and just so you know I finally got the tights, and care package so thank you so much!! I feel so loved and it really truly means a lot. that is awesome that Jessica was sealed in the temple on my birthday and that sammi is ENGAGED!! That is so happy! Her and Bryant are just so cute together I love it. Also was it Tenya's sister Lindy or Lacy that is getting married? I am just curious. You should tell Aunt Mary Beth thank you for the money and I did receive Raymond's money. It was quite the hassle to cash it, but don't worry it all worked out.
Just so you know yes I have a debit card and I get $180 for a month. I only worry about personal needs like food. Housing and everything else is taken care of for me. So you don't need to worry. Well man I am almost out of time to write but know that I am doing so well. The baptism this past Saturday was so good and the work is going well. I am doing good and I pray for all of you every night. I love you all and I will try to write a better email next week. sorry :)

Dear Family,

Thank you so much for the letters and package (of slips) you all make my life wonderful!! Thank you so much. I really feel loved. :)
Before I answers your letters I want you all to know that I am doing so well. The weather has been really good this last week so that has been nice. And no there is no snow, but yes I have snow boots just in case. Cause you never know with is Soctia weather. One day it can be sunny and the next day there will be two feet of snow. By the way happy St. Patrick's Day!! I hope you all wore green cause I know I forgot. :) Things in the mission are going really well we have a BAPTISM this Saturday and I am so excited. His name is Terry Evans and he is really cool. I will send pictures. We also have so many other people we are teaching and it is so wonderful. Not only that we are teaching them, but just how the gospel changes peoples lives for the better. I am learning so much about this church it is awesome. When I get home dad I think I will be better prepared to answer your questions. :) I don't have a lot of time to type. But I wanted to respond to some letters.

You rock my socks off!! Thank you for the letter. I love it. I am happy to hear that you love Alice and Wonder land we will have to watch it together when I get home. I hope that you have a wonderful prom and I will be expecting pictures!! Also I am so excited that you are going to play Volleyball!! That is what I am talking about. I love you Jordan you are so wonderful and I hope that you have a wonderful prom this weekend.

Dear Family,

Thank you so much for the letter mom and dad I love them. Jordan Where are you? I haven't heard from you in a while. Dad I am glad to hear that you like construction way more than feeding rabbits. That makes me happy!! Your way to hard of a worker for something so simple. Mom I love the letter thank you for keeping me up dated on whats going on in the world of Orderville. Are you really sending a package?? I am super excited!! Thank you! I am not sure if you already sent it, but I was wondering if I could have some more Emergen-c stuff? I hate but love that stuff it really seems to help me have more energy through out the day and plus I get a lot of vitamins which is always a good thing. But if not it is not even a big deal. Also I was wondering if you could give me my blog address I found out that I can look at it and I really want to!! sledding, being a hermit and homemade pizza sounds awesome!! I am glad to hear that things are going well. Also thank you for the cooking tips they are way good. Hey is Brandt Reese home from his mission??
As for me I am doing so good! I am adjusting to missionary life pretty good. My companion says that I don't even seem like a new missionary which makes me feel really good, because I know that I am far from where I would like to be. As you know right now we have a car to get around which is so nice, but in at the end of the month we have to get rid of our car and I am so not excited. We are going to have to ride the bus everywhere!! But it will be fun at the same time I guess. Can you believe that it is March!! I can't I have been in Canada for two weeks now and it is great. The weather has been way nice the last couple of days and I have been so thankful for the sunshine. The warmest it gets is about 10 degrees Celsius but its better than 0 or -1.
I decided yesterday that the Lord blesses us so much for doing His work. We go into some of the craziest houses with sick people, kids and who knows what else. And not to mention we shake so many peoples hands everyday its crazy! I am grateful for the Lord protecting me from sickness because I believe that he truly does.
The work here is so much fun! Its not always the easiest, ok it never is easy to go up to complete strangers and talk about religion, but I know like it says in Nephi 3:7 Lord provides a way. I am grateful for the Book of Mormon and the happiness and peace that is brings into my life. To be honest I don't know where I would be without out it. Really I am grateful for this beautiful gospel and how much joy it brings me. I know that the wind will always blow and things will be hard, but the Gospel of Jesus Christ makes trials and things so much easier to bear, because you know that you are never alone. Jesus Christ our Savior knows how we feel and he wants us to be happy. If we put our trust in Him we never have to fear.
Here in Halifax we have some pretty amazing investigators and I am so privileged to teach them. One is named Terry Evans I thing I mentioned him before, he is doing so well and we are going to once again commit him to baptism, Tonight!! I will tell you how it goes. We have two college students named Peter Hay and Steven which are doing really well also. I pray that we will be able to teach them well enough that they will be able to know this gospel is true. This gospel is amazing the more I learn about it the more it makes sense not only in my mind, but my heart also! Sorry you are all probably bored out of your mind with all of my churchy stuff!
Know that I am doing well and I am healthy and happy!! I love you all so much!! And I really do thank you for all your support. Its crazy being in a new country where I don't know where anything is or who anyone is, but I am loving it!!! I pray for you all every night and I hope that you have such a wonderful week!! I love you all!!!!

Oh, the weather outside is cold....

Dear Family,

Okay so mom I just got your emails. My P-day is on Wednesday so now you know. my drivers licence number is . Also I did not change my address so if you could do that for me that would be wonderful. Thanks!! I got your letters today and I loved them thank you so much. Oh mom can you check my bank account?? I just need to know how much is in there. Jordan I really hope that you are doing okay!! I am so sorry to hear that, that happened to you. Dad how are you??

Okay so once again I really don't have a lot of time. But who ever does?? Anyways I want to share a little bit about what has happened to me this past week. I wish I could share every funny moment and silly thing but so many things happened each day that it is kind of hard. Anyways I am loving it here. I am still getting use to the cold and I think that I am finally over the jet lag. I have a lot to work on, but who doesn't?

So Canada is pretty cold. I am sure my companion is getting sick of me telling her how cold I am. But I think I am getting use to it. (I Hope) I have been using some hand warmers that someone left at the apartment and they have saved my life. I wear my thermals or running tights plus my wool tights and skirt. Then usually two shirts and my warm blue coat. plus a scarf hat and gloves. It takes my like 15 min to get dressed. It makes my laugh. So the houses here are awesome!!! I think I am going to start taking pictures of all of them. They are colonial style home with bold bright colors. I just love them!! I will send you a picture sometime. They definitely have alot of character.
So I finally saw the Atlantic ocean!! I see it almost everyday and it is so awesome!! I am so close to the water. Sorry if this email is all over the place but I am trying to hurry so I can tell you everything. So the people here are super nice! Even when they shut the door in your face they are just so nice about it. People here are awesome. and people here really do walk out in the road when ever they feel like it. It makes me laugh. But the drivers here are the most gracious drivers I have ever met.
Soon our car is going to get taken away and we will be riding bikes!! I am super excited, but at the same time nervous because we wont get nearly as much done and I might freeze to death. :) So you are probably wondering who my companion is....Well her name is sister Olsen. She is from Idaho Falls and she is so sweet! I really like her. I am not sure yet if she likes me every much yet but I think that once I know whats going on she will like me better. She is the youngest of 5 brothers and she is a rock star. I am learning a lot from her and she knows her stuff. She is showing me all the tricks of the trade.
March 1st was the first time I saw the sun and a little bit of the blue sky! So know I do know that it exists here.
We have some amazing investigators that I am super excited about!! One is named Terry and he is so close to getting baptized I think it is going to happen this month!! Last night was the first time I met the "Sellers Family" it was so funny! The woman Dawn has 4 kids and they are all pretty young. So last night we walked in the door and The house is a mess, a little boy is running around the house naked, a kitten is thrust into my hands, the kids are running around us screaming and yelling. It couldn't help but laugh on the inside. :) So I have been here an official week!! I made it. I am still getting use to everything but I hope soon I will get the hang of things. Keep praying for me, cause I need it!
Last Friday was kind of a crazy day! It was super cold and we had to go out and find people for two hours cause that is what we do everyday. And the wind was blowing so hard!! And it was raining I bought rain boots, but I still need to get winter boots. So I got to use my raincoat and it worked really well!! I love my blue coats. Well I have to go once again Read Helaman 5:12. It is awesome. I love all of you have a wonderful week and I hope to hear from you soon!!!
